The Ferndale Cancer Walk is Friday, July 24th from 6:00pm-10:00pm at Centennial Riverwalk Park in Ferndale.

The Ferndale Cancer Walk is a non-profit event that is trying to raise awareness for all types of cancer and to support patients in the community by sharing knowledge, encouraging early detection, and contributing to local cancer care through outreach and donations!

You can sign up as an individual or a team and plan to walk the Centennial Riverwalk Park.  During the event, you’ll have a chance to honor and support those that have fought and are fighting cancer.

Fix-It Fair Bellingham invites you to this month’s Fix-It Fair event on Sunday, July 26th from 12pm-3pm at it’s NEW LOCATION – Kulshan K2 on Kentucky Street in Bellingham!

If you have something that needs to be fixed…BRING IT!  The volunteers will help you fix it for FREE!

Some of the items they’ll help you with include:
-Clothes Mending (patches, button fixes, pocket holes, etc.)
-Small Appliance Repair
-Knife Sharpening  (please limit to 2 items per person)
-Bike Repair  (brake checks and basic service)
-Jewelry Repair
-Small Appliance Repair (anything you can carry that is NOT gas-powered)
-Shoe Polishing

This is a FREE event run by volunteers.  All repairs are FREE or by donation.

Discover the magic of color in weaving with this special workshop at the Jansen Art Center in Lynden July 30th-August 1st.

Renowned fiber artist, Jennifer Moore, will lead this workshop that gives students a chance to prepare a warp unsing her unique system arranging multiple colors in rotational sequence.  You’ll have a chance to experiment with a variety of structures.  Plus, Jennifer will lead a comprehensive lecture.  You’ll leave with a remarkable sampler, a stronger understanding of color theory and optical mixing in weaving, and countless ideas for future projects.

Pick your seafood, pay the fishermen directly, and head home with your delicious catch.

Bring a blanket and yoga mat and enjoy soothing sound vibrations of Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, and bells for deep relaxation. Sessions are hosted by either Everitt Allen of Sound Therapy of the Pacific Northwest, Kristi Moseley of Mystic Heart, or Ruby Koa of Inspire Yoga.
