You can support local farms, small businesses, and makers as they sell their fresh produce and handmade goods in a fun, community atmosphere.

Kids Fest

Bellingham Parks & Rec, along with WestEdge Credit Union, present Kids Fest on Saturday, August 1st from 10am-2pm at Civic Field in Bellingham!
This is a FREE event that celebrates kids and why kids are so GREAT! There will be a TON of booths with games and information on services and opportunities for kids and their families. There will be games, workshops, face painting, and more! Take some time to play with the whole family!
Summer Saturday Book Sales

The Friends of the Deming Library will be opening their book room for browsing and purchasing on Saturdays from 10:00am-5:00pm in June, July & August! (NOTE: There is no sale on Saturday, July 4th)
You’ll find a HUGE selection of books covering a variety of subjects and genres. Books can be paid for using cash, checks, or the Give Butter donation websute.
Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Deming Library and their support of Deming Library programs and maintenance.
The book room is just outside of the Deming Library building.
Stanwood-Camano Rotary Parade

The Stanwood-Camano Community Rotary Parade is Saturday, August 1st at 11:00am in downtown Stanwood.
This is a decades-long tradition that is a celebration of community for everybody. This year’s theme is “United for Good.”
The parade will start at the train tracks in downtown Stanwood and end at the Josephine Caring Community.

Blossom Farm invites you to the Magical Carousel Minis Farm Animals on Saturday, August 1st from 12pm-4pm!
Come out to the farm and meet all the animals…including the newest babies! All the animals are inside the barn, so rain or shine, you don’t need to worry about the weather. Some of the animals you’ll have a chance to see include: miniature horses, miniature donkeys, ponies, and horses, miniature zebu, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, and more.
Admission is $5 per person.
Slime Saturdays in Burlington

The Burlington Public Library invites you to SLIME SATURDAYS every Saturday from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Each week, kids (and their parents) can create a different kind of slime to take home.
On August 1st, you’ll be creating Crunchy Slime.
All materials will be provided and the program will be staff instructed.
Whatcom Grooves Summer Concerts – Ferndale

The Whatcom County Library System invites you to Whatcom Grooves, a series of FREE concerts hosted across the Whatcom County Library System!
On Saturday, August 1st from 2:00pm-3:30pm, you can see The Hot Tomatoes in Point Roberts. They’re a collaboration between The Hot House Jazz Band and the Bellingham Circus Guild!
