6263 Mt. Baker Highway
The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association is planting trees at the Kendall Creek Hatchery on Saturday, November 8th from 9am-12pm.

If this is your third NSEA work party this calendar year, be sure to pick up your thank you gift at the sign-in tent!
NSEA provides everything you need to participate, but here are some other things to keep in mind:
Any necessary tools, instructions, and gardening gloves are provided (XS-XL sizes available).
Most sites are wet even if it is not raining so bringing water-resistant/proof layers will keep you more comfortable.
Closed-toed shoes are required, and we recommend ones that can get dirty (because they will!)
A portable toilet will be available at sites that do not have public restrooms.
If the event requires a shuttle, it will run throughout the event for anyone that shows up later or needs to leave early.
We strive to provide coffee, water, and light snacks at each event, but if you have additional dietary needs, please bring those.
A reusable coffee cup and water bottle are highly recommended to keep these events as waste free as possible!

In November, we will be looking out for seals and sea lions feasting on migrating salmon in Whatcom Creek! Late autumn is the best time of year to look for salmon and the marine mammals who eat them, and we will be thinking all about the important role salmon play in the entire northwest ecosystem. Come ready to get Seal-y and have a blast exploring a creek-side trail and get curious about all the things plants and animals are up to as they prepare for the colder months.
SCHEDULE ALERT: No outings Friday, November 28, 2025 or Saturday, November 29, 2025.
