The Downtown Mount Vernon Trick-or-Treat is Friday, October 31st from 3pm-5pm. You’re invited to participate on First Street, from Kincaid to Division in Downtown Mount Vernon. At 5 pm, kids are also invited to join in the annual Costume Contest at the Lincoln Theatre. Prizes will be awarded in age categories 0-4, 5-8, 9+, and Young At Heart (18+).

Hillcrest Chapel in Fairhaven is having their annual Harvest Party on Oct 31st!

The doors will open at 5 pm for a community dinner and then the booths/games will open at 6-7:30.  A lot of fun for the WHOLE family!  Dinner is $10 for the whole family and the party is free with a suggested donation of canned food or a bag of candy.  Come dressed up but please no scary costumes/masks.

Autumn Fair at East Whatcom Regional Resource Center

The East Whatcom Regional Resource Center is proud to present the first annual Autumn Fair, a community driven celebration of local agriculture and heritage arts. The Fair will be held on Saturday, November 1st from 1pm-4pm on the East Whatcom Regional Resource Center grounds at 8251 Kendall Road, in Maple Falls. This event, featuring family activities, local farms, games, arts and crafts, will have a suggested entry donation of one item for the Foothills Food Bank. The fair will also include community wide gourd and homemade pie contests; with entry forms available at four locations in Maple Falls, as well as on our website. Haunted House at BAAY

Don’t miss a theatrical, arts-oriented Haunted House at the Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth Theatre, one night only, Saturday, November 1st from 6-9pm. The event features a performance by the BAAY Dance Company, a spooky tour guide, tons of live (or at least undead), ghoulish actors and even a tasty treat at the end of the tour. This is a night you do not want to miss!  A less-scary alternative tour is available for the faint-of-heart. Admission is $5 and all the money goes to scholarships for BAAY students.
