BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Students looking at higher education now have new pathways to gain a four-year degree.

Whatcom Community College (WCC) and Western Washington University (WWU) have announced a joint partnership that will make the transfer process easier between the two schools.

Admission to WWU is now guaranteed for any WCC student that has a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher and has completed one of two Associate’s transfer degrees.

The joint agreement also waives application fees for any WCC student that applies to WWU.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that WWU President Sabah Randhawa teased this partnership during his State of the University Address last month.

As part of his plan to boost WWU’s enrollment, eligible high school seniors will also receive automatic acceptance to the university.
