BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Western Washington University (WWU) will host a panel of economic and financial literacy speakers for the 2024 Washington Economics Symposium on Aug. 20.

The WWU faculty & symposium co-organizer stresses that the event acts as a tool to address upward battle financial and economic education faces in Washington State. He further emphasizes that the conference aims to bridge the financial and economic training gap in the educational system.

Several of this year’s speakers include Senator Share Shewmake, Anneliese Vance-Sherman and Scott Wolla.

There are two speaker tracks unfolding, one for the K-12 educator track and another for the business and government leader’s track. Registration also includes breakfast, lunch and a networking reception.

The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the university’s Viking Union.
