Western Washington feels second earthquake in a little over a week

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another earthquake shook western Washington early Friday, Oct. 4.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 3.7 quake was recorded in the Strait of Georgia around 2 a.m. Its epicenter was located about 12 miles southwest of Richmond, British Columbia.

Some light shaking was felt in western Whatcom County, but stronger tremors were felt on Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia.

It’s the second quake in a little over a week that was centered near Vancouver Island.
