BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Roadwork may cause some slowdowns on your weekend commute through Whatcom County.

WSDOT crews will be replacing concrete panels on I-5 northbound between Samish Way and Iowa St starting Saturday, August 15th. The freeway will be reduced to one lane between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, August 16th.

Crews will also close the on-ramp from Iowa St to I-5 NB from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Folks travelling up for the fair or elsewhere are asked to slow down and pay attention in the work zones to keep crewmembers safe.
