BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – It’ll soon cost a bit more to enjoy our state’s parks.

Washington State Parks says that starting on April 1, reservation fees for out-of-state residents will go up from $5 to $15.

That will not impact any reservations made before April 1.

Later this year, the price of an off-season pass for seniors will go up to $100 from $75. Both of these fee increases are the first for either service in over a decade.

Those looking to make advance registrations for vacation rentals might also see some price changes starting April 1.

Washington State Parks will be introducing a tiered pricing system to what they call roofed rentals, like cabins and yurts.

The updated pricing will take effect for any reservations made for Jan. 1 and beyond.
