ISSAQUAH, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – If you receive emails from Costco in your inbox, you may soon get some cash in your bank account.

The wholesale retailer has reached a settlement in a class action lawsuit claiming that it sent emails with false or misleading subject lines to its members in Washington state.

Costco doesn’t admit guilt and says it has complied with all state and federals laws but has agreed to settle the suit for $14 million.

The settlement defines those eligible for payment as Washington residents who received commercial emails from Costco between June 2, 2021 and July 7, 2026.

Those who believe they’re entitled to part of the settlement have until Aug. 24 to submit a claim form either online or by mail.
