The United States was stunned in second-half stoppage time by Turkey in a meaningless group-stage finale of the 2026 World Cup. The Americans had already won their group, and Turkey was eliminated before the match. Germany also took a surprising loss before the knockout rounds, falling 2-1 to Ecuador. Ivory Coast and the Netherlands were other winners on Day 15 of the tournament.
