BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Those snow flurries we’ve seen throughout the day aren’t expected to last.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says most lowland areas in our region aren’t expected to see any more snow on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Some spots could see very minor snowfall of less than an inch on grassy or elevated surfaces.

Meanwhile, the NWS has issued a cold weather advisory for the lowlands of Whatcom County and San Juan County from 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18 through noon on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Forecasters are expecting very cold wind chills dipping as low as 10 to 15 degrees.

Residents are being advised to keep their pets indoors as much as possible.
