WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Two Seattle men were arrested in connection to a drug ring operating around Whatcom County.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Deb Slater says the investigation began earlier this year into a group that was believed to be dealing fentanyl and cocaine.

The Sheriff’s Office, Bellingham Police, the DEA and other law enforcement executed several search warrants in the Seattle area on Wednesday, March 25.

They seized over a pound and a half of suspected fentanyl, half a pound of methamphetamine, a quarter pound of cocaine and some heroin.

Investigators also found a scale and over $7,000 in suspected drug proceeds.

During a pair of separate search warrants on Wednesday, March 25, deputies arrested two Seattle men, ages 33 and 49. They were released from the Whatcom County Jail the following day after posting bail.

Slater says the Sheriff’s Office expects more arrests to follow in the investigation.
