TRAFFIC ALERT: Overturned semi closes roads near Custer

CUSTER, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An overturned semi has led to some detours near Custer.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) says that the semi flipped at the intersection of Harksell and Enterprise Roads just after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The east sides of the roads are expected to be closed for a few hours while the vehicle is righted.

WCSO spokesperson Deb Slater says that the semi was carrying materials for Lynden Door, and the driver sustained minor injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
