Three-week outage of Whatcom Chief to begin in late April

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Lummi Island ferry will be running with limited-service next month.

Whatcom County Public Works announced that the Whatcom Chief’s annual dry dock outage will take place from April 25 to May 17.

During that time, there will passenger-only ferry service between Lummi Island and Gooseberry Point.

Unlike previous years, shuttle service will not be provided on the island during the outage.

Service is expected to resume on May 17, though the return date remains subject to change.
