SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – More details have been released on the suspect arrested Wednesday, Aug. 19 in Sedro-Woolley.
In Oregon, Lane County Sheriff’s Office says their officers responded to welfare check request from an out-of-state caller on 44-year-old Yuvonne Allison.
They found Allison deceased with multiple stab wounds in the South River Road neighborhood in the greater Eugene area.
After assessment of the crime scene, Lane law enforcement obtained a murder arrest warrant for 47-year-old Tyler Earl Essex.
Jail booking records indicate that Essex is the same person that threatened multiple lives with a weapon in Sedro-Woolley Wednesday. He was taken into custody after attempting to evade police by climbing a fence in a local beer garden.
Essex currently remains at the Skagit County Jail on a “Fugitive from Justice” charge without bail.
Allison’s family has been notified of her fate.
Suspect in custody following threats, evacuation in Sedro-Woolley
A suspect is in custody after a multi-agency investigation ended without injury in Skagit County.
Sedro-Woolley Police say that the suspect made 911 calls stating he was armed and threatening to harm others Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 19. Police received information from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon that the suspect was wanted in connection with an unspecified violent felony case.
Officers found him near a business on Highway 20. The business was evacuated before Skagit County Crisis Negotiations and North Cascades Regional SWAT arrived to assist.
The suspect was taken into custody after climbing the business’s fence.
