BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Pumpkins, apples, standup comedy, live music and more. We have it all for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

If you are looking for a spot to grab a pumpkin for Halloween, you are in luck. There are plenty of pumpkin patches across the county.

Bellewood Farms offers a pumpkin patch, a corn maze and apple picking through the end of October. Right now, they have Honeycrisp, Orin and Prince apples available for picking. Bellewood is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Stoney Ridge Farm in Everson is another great option for pumpkins. They are open on Friday and Saturday all month long and offer pumpkins, apples, tractor rides and more.

Another option in the area is Dan Cramer’s Western Town in Lynden. Their pumpkin patch is open Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Western Town also has a petting zoo, train rides, pony rides and a fun zone.

Speaking of apples, the 6th annual Sippin’ on Cider Festival is this Saturday, Oct. 17 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. It’s a celebration of Pacific Northwest ciders, fall and community. It’s also a fundraiser for Shifting Gears, an organization that helps women in Whatcom and Skagit Counties enjoy the outdoors.

If you could us a good laugh this weekend, look no further than the Mount Baker Theatre. Maria Bamford will perform on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The author and comedian tackles issues surrounding mental health and has been on the scene for decades. Bamford has appeared on The Late Show, Late Night, CONAN, The Late Late Show and the Tonight Show.

Our featured live show this week is an all-ages show at the Blue Room in Bellingham.

Bellingham’s Pyrocene will perform on Sunday night along with Portland’s Triple Lutz and The Unbridled. It will be a night of queer psychedelic gloom, pun(k) rock and heavy metal. Fans of everything from Beach House to Green Day to Metallica don’t want to miss this one.

The show starts at 8 p.m. For tickets, go to blueroombham.com.
