BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – One person was hospitalized following a crash on the I-5 overpass at Sunset Drive on the early morning of Thursday, July 9.
Bellingham Fire Department spokesperson Dustin Michaelis said crews responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision just before 5 a.m.
The male pedestrian was the only person injured and was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
No further details have been released regarding the events that led to the collision or the extent of the man’s injuries.
The westbound lanes of Sunset were closed at the overpass until about 8 a.m.
