SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Commuters in Skagit County may encounter some paving-related delays.

WSDOT said they began work on SR 534 earlier Wednesday, July 8, which connects Conway with Lake McMurray.

Most of the roadway will be repaved for the first time since 2003.

Work is weather-dependant and may be delayed if there’s rain in the forecast.

WSDOT anticipates that work on the southern Skagit County state route will be complete by late August.
