Seahawks News

The Seahawks are planning to reunite with a former Pro Bowl defender. ESPN reports the team is expected to sign veteran safety Quandre Diggs to their practice squad.

Diggs made three Pro Bowls over his four and a half seasons in Seattle before he was released in 2024. After that, he signed with the Tennessee Titans and made 12 starts with the team before he was waived earlier this month.

The Seahawks will look for Diggs to add some depth to their secondary with starting safety Julian Love and his backup Ty Okada each dealing with injuries. Love is eligible to come off the injured reserve this week after missing four games, but it’s unclear when he’ll actually return.

The Hawks’ division rival earned a dominant win last night.

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Carolina Panthers 20-9 on Monday Night Football in the Bay Area. The Niners survived three picks by Brock Purdy and rode a big game from Christian McCaffrey and their defense to improve to 8-4.

They sit just half a game behind the Seahawks for second place in the NFC West, as the Los Angeles Rams sit at the top with a 9-2 record.

The Zags beat 8th nationally ranked Alabama 95-85 to improve to 6-0 on the season. They’ll look to improve on their No. 12 ranking in the AP poll after earning their second win over a ranked team.

A pair of key players on the Sounders are heading to free agency.

The Sounders announced their roster decisions for the 2026 season today, including word that Stefan Frei and Paul Rothrock and both free agents.
