UW Huskies Football News
The wild, wild west of college football has hit the University of Washington.
Huskies quarterback Demond Williams Jr. announced on social media yesterday that he’s entering the transfer portal. The move comes just days after he agreed to return to UW for the 2026 season.
ESPN reports the deal was worth over $4 million and was near the top of the market. It also reports that the school is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to enforce his contract.
Meanwhile, LSU is expected to be the favorite to land Williams if he leaves Washington, but many other schools are expected to be involved for one of the most sought after QBs on the market.
Williams is entering the portal with a do-not-contact tag, which generally means a player already knows where they’re planning to transfer.
