Mariners News

A Mariner fan-favorite is hoping to hear his name called tonight during Major League Baseball’s MVP awards show.

Cal Raleigh is one of three finalists for American League MVP, along with the Yankees’ Aaron Judge and the Guardians’ Jose Ramirez. Judge is the odds-on favorite to win, which would be his third time in four seasons.

In the National League, Shohei Ohtani, Kyle Schwarber and Juan Soto are all in consideration for NL MVP. The award show begins at 4 pm.

It comes after Detroit Tigers ace and former Seattle U star Tarik Skubal won the AL Cy Young award yesterday, while 23-year-old Pittsburgh Pirates prodigy Paul Skenes was the unanimous winner in the NL in just the second season of his career.

The Kraken are looking to avoid dropping their third straight match tonight. They’re hosting the Winnipeg Jets in the second leg of their three-game homestand.

Seattle’s coming off back-to-back losses, including a tight shootout loss to the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. They’ve played the most overtime games in the NHL season.

The Jets are coming off a win up North over the Canucks that snapped their three-game skid.

Coverage for tonight’s game begins at 6:30 and puck drops at 7 on KPUG.

The Pac-12 will be back to nine teams for the 2026-27 season, including its two current members Washington State and Oregon State.

Western soccer kicked off its postseason today.

The Viking men had their season end in a 5-3 loss to Seattle Pacific earlier today in the first round of the GNAC Championships. The Western women are playing SPU, with the winner moving on to the conference tournament title game.
