Bells News
The Bells are heading to the West Coast League Championship. Bellingham outlasted the Edmonton Riverhawks 5-2 in the North Division title game last night in a match that lasted over four hours due to a lightning delay.
Rominic Quiban put the Bells up in the seventh inning with a bases-loaded double that scored two. Noah Meffert scored one more on a sacrifice fly to give the Bells a 4-2 lead that would hold for the rest of the game.
All-Star Devyn Hernandez threw four innings of two-run ball in the start and the Bells’ bullpen combined for five shutout innings with just two hits allowed. Chihiro Sato earned the win by throwing three perfect innings of relief.
The Bells now move on to face the defending champion Portland Pickles on the road tomorrow. Bellingham will look to capture its first WCL title since 2014.
The Zone will be live from Walker Stadium in Portland from 3-6 tomorrow before the Bells take the field for a 7:05 first pitch.
You can livestream the game for free on the Portland Pickles’ YouTube channel or listen live to the Bells’ home broadcast.
