WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – State health officials have launched a new online tool in the midst of cold and flu season.

The Washington Department of Health says that its Respiratory Immunization Dashboard was created to review vaccination trends across the state.

Data is updated weekly to reflect the number of flu, COVID and RSV shots that have been administered this year.

In Whatcom County, a higher percentage of people have gotten the COVID, flu and adult RSV vaccines than the state average.

Pediatric RSV shots are the exception to that trend, but we’re only trailing the state average by a single percentage point.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that Washington’s Secretary of Health Dennis Worsham issued a standing order recommending COVID shots for anyone over the age of six months. RSV shots were also encouraged in that order for children under 8 months and people over the age of 75.
