Mount Vernon man killed in motorcycle accident

BURLINGTON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Mount Vernon man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding struck a car.

The Washington State Patrol says that the man, identified as 43-year-old Matthew McMullen, was riding south on Pulver Road in Burlington yesterday afternoon, Thursday, Feb. 15.

McMullen crashed his bike into a car turning left onto State Route 20.

He was ejected from the motorcycle and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the car were not injured.

WSP says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
