Motorcyclist killed following crash near Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale

FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A motorcyclist was killed following a crash in Ferndale last week.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Deb Slater says deputies were called to investigate the crash around 5 p.m. last Friday, Jan. 23.

It occurred on Haxton Way in front the south parking lot entrance of the Silver Reef Casino and involved a motorcycle and SUV.

The motorcyclist, identified by the Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s Office as 35-year-old Justin James of Ferndale, was declared dead at the scene, while the other driver suffered minor injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
