BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A pizza place on the north side of Bellingham is shuttering its doors as another franchise comes north.

MOTO Pizza said Thursday, June 4 in a social media post that the rumors were true: they would be closing down the Bellingham location.

The Seattle-based pizza company has looked to expand its operations in the last couple years including taking on opening stores in southern California. MOTO had opened its Bellingham location less than a year ago.

Owner Lee Kindell said in the video on Instagram that the company wants to open a more long-term operation in Bellingham in the future. Kindell claims that the location was an experiment in drive-thru-style operation.

My Bellingham Now has reached out to MOTO to see if the company has a set date for the closure.

Meanwhile, Dutch Bros owner Double Tree Ventures has completed a pre-application to turn the MOTO location into Bellingham’s first Dutch Bros coffee stand.
