Lynden Police identify suspect in connection to deadly crash with Lynden school bus driver

LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The death of a Lynden school bus driver earlier this year has led to an arrest.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that the bus driver, Annette Lyon, was killed in a crash on May 1.

Lynden Police Chief Steve Taylor said that an extensive investigation determined probable cause to arrest a suspect, identified as 38-year-old Samuel Swanson of Blaine.

Swanson was taken into custody on Friday morning and is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon.

Details on how the crash happened or what evidence linked Swanson to the crime have not yet been released.
