LUMMI NATION, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Police have shut down a notorious drug house on the Lummi Reservation.

The Lummi Nation Police Department said on social media that they evicted all occupants of the property on 3572 N. Red River Road and boarded it up on Friday, May 1. The department says it obtained a court order to secure the residence, which has been a known location for ongoing drug use and distribution near Silver Reef Casino.

It comes roughly a week after Lummi Police responded to a shooting on the same block of N. Red River Road which left one person in critical condition.

The department has not responded to My Bellingham Now for comment on the connection between the house and shooting.

The residence is also near the area where a Lummi police officer suffered several injuries in a shooting last summer.
