Lummi Island Ferry out of service for two hours tomorrow

GOOSEBERRY POINT, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Heads up for those of you taking the Lummi Island Ferry this week.

The Whatcom Chief will be out of service on Thursday, March 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Whatcom County Public Works says the outage is necessary for its dry dock shipyard pre-bid meeting on board the ferry.

The last run from the Gooseberry Point side before the outage will be at 12:10 p.m.

The last run from the Lummi Island side before the outage will be at 12:20 p.m.

Public Works says riders should plan accordingly and no additional runs will be made to clear the docks.
