BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Memorial Day weekend and the Ski to Sea race are now in the rearview. Many Whatcom County residents may have more subdued plans this weekend. For those who still want to get out and enjoy the bounty of our county, fear not. We have a ton of fun events for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

The Shoestring Circus is coming to town. The fun will take place on Bellingham’s waterfront under the big top and it runs from Friday, May 29 through Sunday, June 14. Attendees will watch aerialists fly, acrobats tumble and oddballs entertain with the theme of “Dreamland” on full display.

Tickets for the Shoestring Circus run from $17 to $55.

Fans of Roller Derby, rejoice! It is time for the Bellingham Roller Betties season championship. Head up to the Lynden Skateway on Saturday, May 30 to watch the Roller Betties take on West Sound Roller Derby followed by a championship match.

There will be a snack bar, a beer garden and a bake sale to keep spectators lubricated and well sated. The roller derby runs from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $9 for kids.

On Sunday, May 31, Rad Bites and Block Party is coming to downtown Bellingham. A $17 ticket gets attendees tastings at over a dozen restaurants and bars along Railroad Avenue. From Fiamma Burger to Just Poke to Gruff Brewing and beyond, food and drinks will be flowing from noon to 4 p.m.

To celebrate the occasion, Blue Room will host an outdoor concert from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. featuring Whalien and Art Gecko.

The Bellingham Bells season is just around the corner, and fans have a chance to support the team at a fundraiser on Sunday.

Kulshan Brewing is hosting the Season Kick Off Party at their Trackside location. Head down for a family-friendly afternoon of games, glitter, raffles and a chance to meet Dinger, the Bells mascot.

The Season Kick Off Party runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is free and open to everyone with proceeds from sales going to support local youth baseball and softball.

Our featured live show this week is an all-ages event at Aim & Game in Ferndale.

Done to Death, Disaster Queen, With Regards and Dead Royals will rock the joint all night long on Friday. It’s an all-ages show but alcohol sales will be available for the 21+ crowd.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and include free arcade games.
