BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Summer weather is finally coming to Whatcom County. It is time to bust out the sunscreen and sunglasses. From Bellingham Bay to Joe Martin Field and beyond, we have a bunch of fun events on the docket in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

The Deming Logging Show runs all weekend long at the log show grounds in Deming, WA. Since 1963, the Deming Logging Show has highlighted the culture and tradition of the logging industry with competitions like cable splicing, pole falling, axe throwing, speed climbing and more. Plus, the good folks in Deming will be cooking up some delicious food for the masses. BBQ beef and salmon, a logger’s breakfast, and strawberry shortcake are all on the menu.

The Deming Logging Show is a fundraiser to help busted up loggers and their families. It runs all day long on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14.

The 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup kicked off on Thursday, June 11 and the Bellingham Bells are getting into the spirit of the world’s biggest sporting event. Saturday’s game against the Portland Pickles is Soccer Night. The first 750 fans will get free a Bells soccer scarf.

Show up early and enjoy some baseball on a beautiful day. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m.

If you would rather watch soccer, there are a ton of options in Bellingham this weekend. Businesses across town are hosting watch parties for the World Cup. Our featured live show this week is at Schweinhaus Biergarten on Saturday night. Schweinhaus, downtown Bellingham’s German beer garden, serves up delicious food and drinks. It is also an officeal Fan Zone for the World Cup. True Stars will perform at 8 p.m. Fans of pop rock and punk don’t want to miss this one.
