Know before you go: Bag checks now required at NW WA Fair

LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new policy at the Northwest Washington Fair may impact your access to the festivities.

Fair officials announced Friday, Aug. 7 that they are instituting a Bag Check Policy for attendees ahead of the fair’s opening day next Thursday.

To pass through the entry gates and access the fair, everyone will be subject to a bag check. Guests are encouraged to have their bags open and ready for inspection to keep wait times down.

Outside food and beverages are still allowed at the fair, though items like weapons, alcohol and explosives are prohibited.
