BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – If you’re heading out of town during the week of Thanksgiving, keeping an eye on some popular thoroughfares before you leave could save you some hassle.
WSDOT has put together a series of charts for traveling on the state’s highways over the Thanksgiving holiday. There are four pages detailing traffic you can expect to see each day and each direction for the routes.
WSDOT says the routes are some of the busiest during this time of year.
Areas monitored include I-5 at Lacey and Tacoma, I-90 at North Bend and Cle Elum, Highway 2 between Skykomish and Stevens Pass and I-5 at the Canadian border.
Data for the charts are compiled from previous years and averaged out to show when you are likely to see the most congestion at a certain time.
