WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The FBI is offering a reward for any information that could lead them to a missing Lummi Nation elder.

62-year-old Besalynn James was last seen near her home on Balch Road in the early morning hours of Jan. 21, 2025.

Now, the FBI is offering $10K to anyone with information on who may have been involved in her disappearance.

They add that James has ties to Boise and Nampa, Idaho; Nyssa, Oregon; and Sacramento, California.

Lummi Nation members held a vigil walk for James on Wednesday, Jan. 21 to mark a full year since she was reported missing.

My Bellingham Now previously reported a person of interest had been identified and interviewed by the FBI in July.
