Driver arrested, several sent to hospital following three vehicle crash near Everson

EVERSON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – One person was arrested and several were hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash near Everson on Tuesday night.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) was called to the crash on Everson Goshen Road just east of Van Dyk Road around 5:20 p.m.

There were no reported deaths, but several people were sent to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center out of precaution.

An investigation by WSP found probable cause to arrest one of the drivers for vehicular assault.

Trooper Kelsey Harding tells My Bellingham Now that the driver was arrested for the disregarding the safety of others and no DUI was involved.

The 46-year-old man remains at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.

The portion of Everson Goshen Road was closed for several hours before fully reopening around 9 p.m.
