BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Downtown Bellingham will be buzzing Friday afternoon as the U.S. plays its second match of the World Cup just 90 minutes south.

The U.S. is taking on Australia in Seattle at noon with a chance to clinch a spot in the knockout round.

There will be two official fan zone watch parties going on downtown.

The Wild Buffalo and the Den are hosting a block party in front of the Commercial Street Parking Garage from noon to 5 p.m. It will feature food, games and a 16-foot LED screen to watch the game.

There will also be a watch party at the Trackside Beer Garden, similar to last week’s watch party. If you’re trying to avoid a parking nightmare, WTA will be making trips there every 15 minutes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the Port of Bellingham is debuting a bike valet at the Portal Container Village.

Both watch parties will also include chances to secure the coveted Bellingham Fan Zone scarves.
