BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – After nearly a year of ongoing work, one of Bellingham’s newest parks is almost complete and ready for the public.

The city of Bellingham has announced that construction at the new Cordata Park is finishing up by the end of April. Residents will soon be able to enjoy a new basketball court, pickleball courts, skate dot and covered swing.

The park will also feature a covered outdoor stage, small picnic shelter and a park pavilion that includes a full kitchen, patio and tables and chairs for up to 72 people.

These new additions are a part of Phase Two construction that started in May 2023. Phase One construction was completed in April 2021 and added age-separated playgrounds, a rentable picnic shelter, a bike pump track and more.

The city of Bellingham is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. this Friday at the park’s southern entrance.
