FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An E. coli outbreak has been linked to a Ferndale creamery.

Whatcom County Health and Community Services says that several cheeses produced by Twin Sisters Creamery are being recalled. That includes certain batches of their Whatcom Blue, Farmhouse, Peppercorn, and Mustard Seed cheeses. The cheeses were produced between late May and June of this year.

Two Whatcom County residents and a person in Oregon have reported illnesses following their consumption of the impacted products.

E.coli symptoms can range from mild diarrhea to stomach cramps and bloody stools.

Anyone who purchased the impacted cheeses is asked to throw them away and to sanitize any surfaces they may have touched. If you or someone you know has E. coli symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.

For more information, contact Whatcom County Health and Community Services at 360-778-6100.
