SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another burn ban will be lifted as the weekend approaches.

Officials say that a burn ban for unincorporated parts of Skagit County will be lifted as of Friday, Oct. 3.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that a similar ban for unincorporated Whatcom County will end at midnight Saturday. The National Parks Service lifted its burn ban for the North Cascades earlier this week.

Cooler weather and several days of substantial precipitation led to the burn ban lifts, which had been in place since June 15.
