Lane closure on northbound I-5 this week south of Bellingham

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Drivers should expect delays on I-5 this week south of Bellingham.

WSDOT says they’ll close the right lane northbound from the North Lake Samish overpass to just south of Chuckanut Drive from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 and Thursday, Nov. 20.

Crews will be working to remove rocks from the area. A WSDOT spokesperson tells My Bellingham Now that this work will not include the removal of the Bellingham graffiti rock.

Additional rock removal will be happening on Chuckanut Drive on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Flaggers will be guiding traffic just south of the Whatcom/Skagit County line between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
