Blaine man sentenced for child sex abuse charges

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Blaine man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a child.

Court documents state that 24-year-old Fredy Martin Esteban will spend nearly 8 years in jail on child rape and assault charges.

Martin Esteban was initially arrested in 2022 after the child victim reported the abuse to a parent.

During the course of the child sex assault investigation, their parent told law enforcement that Martin Esteban had assaulted her numerous times while she was pregnant with their child.

Following his sentence, Martin Esteban will be in community custody for the rest of his life and cannot contact any of his victims.
