BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A splash-tastic end of summer event is right around the corner for all water faring folk.
Beats on the Bay, the free concert series hosted by the Community Boating Center, is beginning next on Wednesday, August 13.
Seattle-based singer-songwriter Kate Dinsmore will be performing a fusion of jazz, Americana and rock on Bellingham Bay.
After next week’s event, there will be two more shows on Sept. 3 and Sept. 10.
The Sept. 3 show will have MaSango and Ukama performing Zimbabwean and southern African tunes and Sept. 10 will have Bellingham-based psych-rock band Smooth Kiwi.
Concert goers can paddle out to see the series in a kayak, stand-up paddleboard, rowboat or other small watercraft on the bay.
Hosted in partnership between the Community Boating Center (CBC) and Schooner Zodiac, the CBC offers rentals of the small craft if you do not have your own.
