Alaska Airlines adds second daily flight from Bellingham to Portland

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Travelers flying out of Bellingham are getting increased access to the airport’s newest destination this fall.

Bellingham International Airport announced Monday, May 11 that Alaska Airlines is adding a second daily round-trip flight to Portland, OR starting Nov. 1.

The new midday flight will arrive from Portland just before noon and leave Bellingham at 12:35 p.m.

It comes after Alaska launched its first service to from BLI to PDX in March, marking the first time Bellingham had a direct connection to Portland in nearly eight years.

Since then, the Port of Bellingham says the response from the community was so strong that Alaska already decided to increase service.

BLI said it’s actively working to continue expanding its destinations and routes while bringing more frequent service.
