WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Wildfire smoke is forecast to make its way into western Washington.

The National Weather Service in Seattle says that winds coming from the east are bringing in smoke particles from ongoing wildfires.

Air quality is expected to drop throughout the evening and will remain at substandard levels through Tuesday, Aug. 25.

A shift in wind patterns and a decrease in temperature should bring air quality back to healthier levels by Wednesday.
