SEATTLE, Wash. — We reported on a study UW Medicine is leading to determine whether Hydroxy-chloroquine can be effective against COVID-19.
And that’s just one of the studies being done at the U-Dub in the search for a treatment and a vaccine for the illness.
Infectious disease expert Dr. Helen Chu is testing the drug remdesivir as a possible treatment.
Her lab is recruiting adults who have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus but have been symptom free for at least three days for the studies.
Those interested in participating in the study can apply here.
