Skagit Transit adjusts bus service in response to COVID-19 pandemi

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Skagit Transit has made some changes to its fixed-route bus service in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Service has been reduced after Skagit Transit saw a drop of 52% during the 3rd full week of March as compared to last year.

Mount Vernon routes 205 and 206 now run once an hour instead of every 30 minutes.

Route 205 will depart Skagit Station starting at 6:00 AM weekdays and 8:00 AM weekends.

Route 206 will depart Skagit Station at 35 minute past the hour starting at 6:35 AM weekdays and 8:30 AM weekdays.

Route 410 visits the Guemes Island Ferry hourly and will deviate to Island Hospital on request.

And Route 409 in Anacortes will not run until further notice.
