Several downtown businesses honored in City Center Awards

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Four property owners and businesses were honored last week for their work to revitalize downtown Bellingham.

Chuckanut Bay Distillery, Hudson Yard, Storia Cucina and the historic Renaissance Building on Cornwall Ave were among the award recipients on Thursday.

Mayor Seth Fleetwood made the selections in the first City Center Awards since 2019 due to the pandemic.

Criteria for the awards include outstanding restoration, rehabilitation or renovation of an existing building and other actions that improve the quality of life in Bellingham’s City Center.
