BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is reminding you to be prepared in the event of an emergency.

Both the Sheriff’s Office and their Emergency Management Division will be providing information throughout the month, which is designated as National Preparedness Month.

They are stressing the fact that in the event of any natural disaster or emergency, over 200,000 people could need their help.

The agencies will offer information on emergency kits, signing up for emergency notifications, and links to trusted emergency resources.

Information will also be posted all month long on WhatcomReady.org and their social media pages.
