LYNDEN, Wash. – The Lynden School District will decide this week whether to move forward with a proposed bond that includes the construction of a new high school.

The District’s Board of Directors is meeting Thursday night, September 28th, to vote on a resolution that would put the bond initiative on the February 2024 ballot.

One of the recommendations from the bond planning task force was to build a $150 million high school to replace the current 43-year-old building.

The proposed $157.5 million bond would raise property taxes by $1.37 per $1,000 of assessed value.

Members of the public will have a chance to comment during the meeting.

It takes place in the Lynden School District Board Room at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
